I thought being the 4th book in the series, it would not affect me emotionally as I read it -- wrong. It is so real, it still brings tears to my eyes reading portions of it because it feels like it is really happening. Scenes involving a character with Alzheimer's were especially touching. Of course, my family has so much Alzheimer's I have seen these same or similar things repeatedly. The scenes were very real. Of course, the entire book is very real.Product details

It's depicts the period so well. Tells of a family's hard times and how they depend on The Lord to see them through.

Wonderful continuation of this book series. The characters feel like family.You feel like you are on life's journey with them.These books are well written and very inspiring.
Just finished the book and had to come right away to express how much I enjoyed it! I've come to love the characters and the story of their lives. So many things are familiar such as, Jacksonville, Jacksonville College, Sadler's Restaurant, WMA, Children's Home in Waxahachie, Alzheimers and I keep having to remind myself that the story and characters are fiction. Please write more, Jackie!
Loved this one as much or more than the preceding ones. Love following the characters with their Faith leading them day by day. I think Jackie's writing is getting better.
